As of now, our best understanding is that you do not need to sell your stock to get the tax benefit of Aulon's closure. The company will be issuing 1099s to all shareholders in January 2024 so that you can claim the loss on your 2023 tax return. If you have any doubts or uncertainty about this tax matter, please consult your CPA.
